This screwdriver is an inexpensive employee and it stands at attention quite nicely but...
does it know when to release the button?

I would ask for engineering calculations for the two threaded rods connecting the
hitch plate to the overhead beams...they look lightweight and field engineered

The grounding conductor in this main disconnect does not pass through to the controller as required and
the green/yellow grounding conductor on the load side is serving as one of the ungrounded conductors.
THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION AND CAN BE DEADLY!
(See my Update #18 Main Disconnect Grounding for more information)

The previous service company installed these bolts because the elevator kept drifting away from the floor.
With the car programmed to home at the bottom landing, it could only drop so far - but not far enough to
constantly relevel and eventually open the motor overloads. Hans fixed the problem and removed the bolts.
Please note that with the bolts installed there is very little bottom runby and the buffers are useless.

This image is not very clear but you can see that a wire is wrapped around this open fuse...
which, of course, means that the fuse has been bypassed or jumped out

conductors attached to the traveling cables were an afterthought

which look quite filthy and difficult to inspect
