Interesting combination...
Bob Reid in the United Kingdom informs me:
"Porn and Dunwoody were originally a medium-sized independent
manufacturer in London UK and had been trading for many years.
I worked for them from 1980-87, they specialised in bespoke installations at the time.
One of the more notable installations was at The Deanery at St. Pauls Cathedral
which had a hand carved domed polished wood ceiling.
As with many decent firms in the UK they were bought out by
Otis in the mid 90’s and merged with ERS (Elevator Repair Specialists).
ERS also comprised Budget Lifts, Beckers and R. Reid and Son
(with me actually being the great-grandson)
Later they were trading as PDERS, and later still as PDERS Key Elevators
when yet another company was bought out - now they are back to plain PDERS again."
