This is a "platform lift" (wheelchair lift) at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France
I say "platform lift" because most platform lifts have a maximum load rating of 750 pounds (340 kg).
You can see that this device has a large platform and is carrying much more than 750 pounds.

Please note that the bottom landing has only one set of landing doors...the top landing has two sets.

ASME A18.1 would consider this platform lift to be of the type with a "Partial Runway Enclosure Provided."
2.1.2.1 - "The area under the platform shall be fully enclosed by smooth guards, either telescoping
or stationary, on all accessible platform sides."

As you can see there are two sets of doors on both the platform and the landing.
I am guessing that once the walkway has been extended from the platform, both of the outer doors
are opened ensuring that the entire walkway is guarded before the inner doors are allowed to open.
